Ayurveda: An Introduction

  • Kozen Yoga 32 Church Street Hawthorn, Victoria, 3122 Australia (map)

Ayurveda is one of the world’s most powerful mind-body health systems. It views every individual as unique based on inherited traits, lifestyle and circumstances. Where there is ill-health and dis-ease it aims to restore balance to the body and mind through diet, living in tune with nature, massage, yoga, meditation and everyday habits that are accessible and can be done at home.

Come along and join an informative, practical and fun workshop to learn about the system of Ayurveda and the importance of aligning with nature and her seasons, how to adjust your lifestyle, habits, food and drink, exercise, yoga and breathing to bring about shifts to your well-being.

This will be a two hour session during which you can sip relaxing chai and learn about:

- An introduction to Ayurveda and its core principles

- Basic seasonal cleansing

- Practical ideas of how to live in accordance with the season

- A sample Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner meal plan for the current season

This workshop will be lead by Niveen who is an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant, Yoga & Meditation teacher, Mental Health Counsellor and Reiki Healer. She specialises in aligning mental health, yoga, meditation and mindfulness with Ayurvedic principles to address specific health concerns. Niveen is the owner of Ananda Wellness in Fairfield and teaches all over Melbourne.
